ONE-BEDROOM STUDIO

Marc was lately a very hyperactive child. Also, during the nights he was anxious.

His parents didn’t know the reasons until they realised that the change in behaviour had coincided with the change of home.

Diagnosis

During the inspection it was detected that the headboard of the bed, which was located on the inside wall of the facade, was receiving a strong magnetic field from the outside.

In turn, groundwater was running through under the bed, so that only the lower extremities were free of water.

In terms of air pollutants, a high presence of odourless solvents coming from the new paint was detected. At the same time, the bedroom was located on a first floor and radon gas realised from the subsoil was measured. This gas had nothing to do with changing the child’s behaviour, but in the long term it could cause lung cancer.

Solution

The main plan proposed was moving the bed away from the façade.

The new location received a much weaker magnetic field. Regarding the groundwater, only the lower extremities were exposed.

In relation to the paint, a new paint free of toxic emissions was proposed and it showed a good adherence with the old paint.

As for radon gas, permanent ventilation of the house’s ground floor was chosen. From that moment on, the radon gas reaching the first floor was insignificant.

Result

Once the proposals for improvement had been implemented, parents explain with emotion

In a few days Marc was the same again
